Dear Hartleyites:
Mr. Rajalingam Raveendralingam passed
away due to sudden illness, at the age of 54 on April 9 2008 at King
Georges Hospital in Ilford
London.
Raveendralingam is the eldest son of
Mr. Rajalingam and late Mrs Banumathy Rajalingam, beloved husband of
Sivasakthy, dear father of Nirojan and Anuja and brother of Late Mr. R.
Sangaralingam, Mr. R. Easwaralingam, Mr. R. Sathiyalingam (all
Hartleyites) Mrs. Chandravathana Vasan, Mrs. Ranjithavathana
Vijayaranjan and Mrs. Lingavathana Lakshman.
Ravi was born in Kunchar Kadai,
Navindil and studied at Hartley College up until his departure to
UK in 1973. He was an excellent soccer player who played for all
three teams in Hartley, and finally was selected to play in the 'All
Ceylon National Soccer team'. He is one of the founder member and long
serving secretary of HCPPA (UK) as well as former President and former
Secretary of Board of Trustees and one of the founder of Global Trust of
Hartley College in
Colombo.
