It gives me great pleasure in sending this message of congratulations on the 5th Anniversary of the Hartley College Web site.

Whilst schools having websites are not uncommon these days, the best among them would be judged by the number of visitors to the site, dynamic updates it carries, and the global perspective both from the visitor point of view as well as from the contents point of view. There is no doubt in my mind that your site ranks the top position in this regard. The comments in your guest register from people who are total strangers to Hartley, bears testimony to what a great job you all have done. Its strange, but true that even some of us who live in Colombo have to read your site to get updates of whats happening in the school.

Perhaps the ideal gift we could give you, is to elevate you to a 'Mother Site' status shortly, when we launch a web site on the Hartley College PPA Trust. We are awaiting the Registration of the Trust to commence this service. Perhaps at the end of next 5 years there would be many such sector sites dwelling in specific areas, which will further enhance| your Mother Site Status.
